In our latest edition of Porsche news update, we present the new 911 which was recently announced worldwide. Representing our continued commitment to define the future of sports car performance, in the latest 911 models we unveil new twin-turbo engines which deliver more power, considerably more torque, a high rpm limit and lower fuel consumption. With sharpened design features throughout, innovative new solutions for connectivity and infotainment and new standard and optional equipment, the new 911 raises the benchmark even higher in the pursuit of the ultimate sports car.
We also explore the Black Edition models which have recently enhanced the Boxster and 911 ranges. The striking characteristics of these models have been further accentuated with enhanced specification and alluring design, making them even more desirable.
In June we celebrated our historic 17th overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The innovative Porsche 919 Hybrid won the coveted title exactly 16 years to the day after our last victory and 45 years after Porsche’s very first overall victory. In this edition, we reminisce about the story of Le Mans 2015 and look at Porsche’s success so far in this year’s World Endurance Championship, including our most recent one-two victory at the 6 Hours of Nürburgring.
