The Goodwood Festival of Speed and Porsche are always a special combination, and as we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the first Porsche sports car, the 356 No.1, Porsche will also be celebrating as the featured marque for this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. Porsche will take centre stage being the first automotive manufacture to be the featured marque for a third time, an indication of our contribution to automotive history.
Taking place at the Goodwood House in Sussex, from Thursday 12 to Sunday 15 July 2018, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is an annual celebration of motoring. It is famous for attracting the world’s most legendary road and race cars and is renowned for its tough 1.16-mile Hillclimb, which runs through the very heart of the festival.
The Porsche presence at the festival will be greater than ever, with a collection of rare and iconic Porsche models in action on the Goodwood Hill, including the Porsche’s crown jewel, the1948 356 No.1 from the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. It will also include the most recent legend in Porsche motorsport history, the 919 Hybrid LMP1 race car, winner of the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship.
As well as the much-anticipated Porsche line-up, there will also be exhibits and immersive displays at the Porsche Experience Centre, as well as passenger rides in the all-new Cayenne for guests to enjoy.
