Porsche Retail Group partner with Anna Victorious

3000 miles rowing unaided across the unforgiving Atlantic Ocean. Taking on one of the toughest endurance races on the planet. We are proud to partner with the crew of Anna Victorious.

A team of four inspiring individuals, with the aim to raise awareness and fundraise for Victoria’s Promise, will embark on a 3000 nautical mile journey from La Gomera to Antigua as part of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. Once the crew set off from La Gomera they will:

• Encounter waves measuring up to 30ft high
• Row 2 hours on 2 hours off continuously for the duration of the row
• Have to deal with sleep deprivation
• Row in excess of 1.5 million strokes as a team
• Burn 12,000 calories a day
• Aim to drink 10 litres of water per day

A life changing adventure, we look forward to following the journeys of Ed Smith, Rob Murray, Adam Green, and Jack Biss (pictured above wwith our Director Adam Flint). Their mission “To empower and inspire people to follow their dreams. To stop talking about doing something and actually go out there and do it. If you put your mind to it anything is possible”.

Their story strongly resonated with us here at Porsche Retail Group. Anna, Ed's wife, tragically lost her battle with cancer in 2018 aged just 38. Anna was wife to Ed and Mum to Alba who is now four years old. Throughout Anna's treatment she was supported by the amazing charity Victoria's Promise, who empower young women, and their families, through cancer and beyond.

Setting off in December 2021, her husband and three of her friends will embark on this monumental challenge to raise awareness for the charity, and we’re extremely excited to be a part of their story.
