Sportmade. The new 911 GT3 RS is uncompromising in every aspect, pushing boundaries to an unprecedented level in the process. Symbolising decades of motorsport experience, the 911 GT3 RS reimagines the capabilities of a ‘road car’. With that said, it’s no secret that the new 911 GT3 RS calls the racetrack its home, utilising state-of-the-art aerodynamics and a high-revving naturally aspirated engine to provide outstanding driving dynamics and superlative performance.

A host of technical innovations help to separate the 911 GT3 RS from its competition, with unparalleled aerodynamics playing a significant role. Porsche Active Aerodynamics, optimised by the motorsport inspired single-intercooler layout, pair with the underbody panelling and rear diffuser to generate up to 860kg of downforce – twice that of the previous generation 911 GT3 RS. Elsewhere, a Drag Reduction System (DRS) is featured for the first time on a roadgoing Porsche, providing greater control over straight line speed and fast-paced cornering.

Designed with the racetrack in mind, the lightweight carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) construction is the perfect platform for agility. Sitting 20mm lower to the road than the 911 Carrera, the 911 GT3 RS benefits from Porsche Stability Management and rear-axle steering as standard, enhancing responsiveness and stability. Double wishbone suspension, derived from the 911 RSR race car, ensures sharp, precise driving dynamics.

The 4.0-litre six-cylinder naturally aspirated engine is the heart of the 911 GT3 RS. Setting the benchmark, the flat-six horizontally opposed, naturally aspirated engine has now reached its final form – delivering 525 PS, 465 Nm of torque and revving to an eye-watering 9,000 RPM. In combination with the lightweight stainless-steel sports exhaust, the 911 GT3 RS not only delivers potent performance but a symphony of sound. Its lightweight 7-speed PDK gearbox is perfectly suited to the track, launching the 911 GT3 RS from 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds.

Not based on style, instead totally committed to maximum performance on the racetrack, the exterior of the 911 GT3 RS is strikingly athletic. In line with Porsche philosophy, form follows function. The large bonnet air intakes, wheel arch louvers and prominent fixed double rear wing convey that message clearly. Elsewhere, you’ll find 20-/21-inch forged Aluminium wheels, model designation stickers and a seamless taillight strip with integrated ‘PORSCHE’ logo.

After sitting behind the wheel, it’s evident that the interior of the 911 GT3 RS is designed for the driver. The Black Race-Tex steering wheel features a new control concept, a direct descendent from motorsport. Four individual mode switches on the steering wheel enable direct setup adjustment while driving, whilst a special DRS button has been fitted to the steering wheel to enable the driver to manually activate DRS mode. Manual-inspired PDK gear lever, carbon bucket seats and Race-Tex inlays set the scene for an exhilarating drive.

The new 911 GT3 RS drives into uncharted territory, fully prepared to take the lead on racetracks around the globe.
