The new 911 GT3 R rennsport

Porsche presented a spectacular new circuit car for sports car enthusiasts at the Rennsport Reunion 7 in California, combining the powerful appearance of a high-performance competition car with modern design elements. This unique collector’s item, which is limited to only 77 units, is offered with a choice of seven basic colours as well as three special designs.

The 911 GT3 R rennsport is based on the current 911 GT3 racing car however, goes beyond the strict restrictions imposed by a “Balance of Performance”. The new circuit car boasts a high-revving six-cylinder naturally aspirated engine in boxer layout, when in sixth gear with an engine speed of 9,000 rpm, achieves a top speed that is 12mph higher than the FIA homologated gear ratio of the GT3 R.

The limited-edition track car is the product of a design-orientated approach and benefits from the freedom beyond motorsport regulations.
