Pre-series Taycan sets Nürburgring electric car record

Porsche development driver Lars Kern has posted a new lap time of 7:07.55 minutes on the Nordschleife driving a pre-series Taycan, beating his last Taycan record drive by 26 seconds. Head of the model line, Kevin Giek, says “This puts the Taycan in the same league as electric hypercars” and “the impressive thing about it is that over several laps, Lars clocked almost exactly the same time.”

The last record drive was set in the Taycan Turbo S in 2022 with the pre-series Taycan finishing a huge 0.8 miles ahead on the 13 miles course.
