The prototype all-electric Macan gets put to the test

10 years post launch, the Macan is nearing its second model generation in an all-electric form. Porsche is putting the new prototype through an exacting and gruelling test programme in preparation for its upcoming world premiere.

The SUV is a completely new development due to being the first Porsche model developed on the new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) placing great importance on real-world testing with camouflaged prototypes, wind tunnel aerodynamics and virtual world simulations. This meticulous testing process is vital when it comes to making a new Porsche not only sportier, but also more efficient.
